Job Title: Chemistry Teacher – High School (CBSE Curriculum)
Location: Narayana Etechno School, Salem
Job Summary:
We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Chemistry Teacher to teach students at the High school level (Classes VI-X) under the CBSE curriculum. The ideal candidate will foster a deep understanding of chemistry concepts, inspire scientific curiosity, and prepare students for board examinations and higher education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Curriculum Delivery:
- Teach Chemistry to students of Classes IX–XII as per the CBSE syllabus and school academic plan.
- Prepare and deliver engaging lessons using modern teaching methodologies, laboratory activities, and digital resources.
- Design lesson plans, worksheets, and assessments aligned with CBSE guidelines.
- Laboratory Work:
- Conduct practical sessions safely and effectively in the chemistry laboratory.
- Ensure proper maintenance of laboratory equipment, chemicals, and safety standards.
- Train students in experimental techniques, data recording, and report writing.
- Assessment and Evaluation:
- Prepare and evaluate periodic tests, assignments, and examinations as per CBSE assessment patterns.
- Provide constructive feedback and academic support to students.
- Maintain accurate student performance and attendance records.
- Academic Development:
- Prepare students for CBSE Board Examinations, competitive exams (NEET/JEE, etc.), and science fairs or Olympiads.
- Participate in curriculum review and development activities.
- Stay updated with latest CBSE notifications, exam patterns, and pedagogical trends.
- Classroom Management:
- Create a positive, inclusive, and disciplined classroom environment conducive to learning.
- Encourage inquiry-based learning, critical thinking, and scientific temperament.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Work collaboratively with other teachers and academic coordinators.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress and performance.
- Participate in school events, parent-teacher meetings, and professional development workshops.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Educational Qualification:
- Master’s degree (M.Sc.) in Chemistry or a related discipline.
- B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education) is mandatory as per CBSE norms.
- Experience:
- Minimum 2–5 years of teaching experience in a CBSE-affiliated school preferred.
- Fresh candidates with strong subject knowledge and communication skills may also apply.
- Skills:
- Strong command of Chemistry concepts and CBSE syllabus.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
- Proficiency with ICT tools, smart boards, and online teaching platforms.
- Ability to inspire students and promote scientific curiosity.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
