PGT Economics

As a PGT Economics teacher, you will be responsible for teaching Economics to senior students (Classes 9 to 12) following the ICSE/ISC curriculum. You will guide students in understanding economic concepts, theories, and real-world applications, preparing them for board exams while fostering analytical and critical thinking skills. Maintaining an engaging and academically stimulating environment inside the classroom and within the campus is the first and foremost responsibility of a PGT Economics teacher.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, prepare, and deliver Economics lessons for Classes 9 to 12, adhering to the ICSE/ISC syllabus.
• Teach a range of Economics topics, including Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Indian Economic Development, and International Economics, using varied and engaging teaching methods.
• Provide detailed explanations of economic theories, encouraging critical analysis and discussions.
• Regularly assess and monitor students’ academic progress through assignments, exams, and projects.
• Offer personalized support and guidance to students, especially in preparing for board examinations.
• Foster a positive and stimulating classroom environment that encourages student participation, analytical thinking, and effective problem-solving skills.
• Encourage students to develop a passion for Economics and improve their ability to interpret economic data, graphs, and case studies.
• Maintain regular communication with parents regarding student progress, concerns, and achievements.
• Actively participate in school events, co-curricular activities, and extracurricular programs.

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Economics (M.A./M.Sc. in Economics).
• B.Ed. degree with teaching experience, preferably in the ICSE/ISC curriculum.
• Strong communication, organizational, and presentation skills.
• Deep knowledge of economic theories, current economic affairs, and statistical tools.
• Ability to motivate and inspire students to achieve their academic potential.
