Position: PGT English (Grades 9–12 CBSE)

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly competent and passionate PGT English Teacher to teach Grades 9 to 12 under the CBSE curriculum. The ideal candidate should possess in-depth knowledge of English literature and language, strong analytical skills, and the ability to prepare students effectively for Board examinations while nurturing critical thinking and advanced communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver comprehensive English lessons for Grades 9–12 in alignment with the CBSE curriculum.
- Teach prescribed prose, poetry, drama, and supplementary readers with detailed literary analysis.
- Develop advanced writing skills, including analytical essays, articles, reports, speeches, and long/short answer writing as per CBSE pattern.
- Strengthen students’ grammar, vocabulary, comprehension, and interpretative abilities.
- Prepare students thoroughly for CBSE Board Examinations (Grades 10 & 12, where applicable).
- Conduct periodic tests, assignments, projects, practical components (ASL), and internal assessments.
- Provide structured exam preparation strategies, answer-writing practice, and performance feedback.
- Maintain detailed lesson plans, academic records, and assessment documentation.
- Mentor students for debates, literary events, Model United Nations (MUN), and competitive examinations where relevant.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding academic progress and improvement strategies.
- Participate actively in school programs, workshops, and co-curricular activities.
Qualifications and SkillsEducation
- Master’s Degree in English with B.Ed (mandatory).
Experience
- Minimum 3–5 years of teaching experience in secondary/senior secondary classes at a CBSE or equivalent school.
Skills
- Excellent command over spoken and written English.
- Strong understanding of CBSE curriculum, assessment patterns, and Board exam requirements.
- Ability to interpret and teach literature with depth and clarity.
- Strong mentoring, classroom management, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in smart classroom tools and digital teaching platforms.
Accommodation & Facilities
- Free meals provided on campus for relocated staff.
- Accommodation to be arranged independently outside the campus; an accommodation allowance is included in the salary.
- School support available for identifying nearby housing; shared accommodation is permitted.
- Transportation provided from a common pickup point to the campus during school hours.
