• Strong command over Tamil language, grammar, literature, and prose/poetry.
• Knowledge of classical Tamil texts (Sangam literature, Thirukkural, Epics, etc.).
• Ability to teach higher secondary syllabi (State Board/CBSE/ICSE).

2. Teaching & Pedagogical Skills

• Ability to design lesson plans, teaching aids, and assessments.
• Skill in using student-centric and activity-based teaching methods.
• Capability to make Tamil learning engaging and relevant.
• Proficiency in explaining complex literary concepts in simple terms.

3. Communication Skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication in Tamil.
• Good command over English for academic coordination and reporting.
• Clear pronunciation, expressive reading, and presentation skills.

4. Classroom Management

• Ability to maintain discipline and a positive learning environment.
• Skills in managing large classes and diverse learners.
• Strong student engagement and motivation techniques.

5. Technology Skills

• Ability to use smart boards, digital content, and online teaching tools.
• Basic computer skills: MS Office, preparing e-materials, digital assessments.

6. Assessment & Evaluation

• Preparing question papers, assignments, and project guidelines.
• Fair and timely evaluation of answer scripts.
• Ability to provide constructive feedback to students.
