PGT / TGT English Teacher

Responsibilities

1. Teaching & Learning

• Plan, prepare, and deliver well-structured English lessons aligned with the curriculum.
• Teach grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension, creative writing, and spoken English.
• Introduce students to prose, poetry, drama, and other literary forms.
• Conduct interactive classroom activities to improve speaking and listening skills.

2. Student Assessment

• Prepare, administer, and evaluate class tests, assignments, and examinations.
• Provide constructive feedback to help students improve their language skills.
• Maintain accurate student records and progress reports.

3. Classroom Management

• Create a positive, safe, and disciplined classroom environment.
• Encourage student participation and manage classroom behaviour effectively.
• Use teaching aids, smart boards, and digital tools for effective learning.

4. Curriculum & Planning

• Develop lesson plans, teaching materials, and learning resources.
• Contribute to curriculum development and review.
• Participate in academic planning meetings and workshops.

5. Professional Duties

• Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress.
• Attend staff meetings, training programs, and school events.
• Support school activities such as debates, literary clubs, assemblies, and competitions.
• Uphold school policies and maintain high standards of professionalism.

Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in English or related field.
• B.Ed./Teacher training certification preferred.
• Strong command of spoken and written English.
• Good communication, classroom management, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to use digital tools and innovative teaching methods.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
