A Database Clerk is responsible for maintaining and managing data related to pharmaceuticals in a database.
This role typically involves tasks such as:
- Data Entry: Inputting and updating information about medications, including their names, dosages, manufacturer details, batch numbers, expiration dates, and more.
- Data Verification: Ensuring the accuracy and completeness of the data entered into the database. This might involve cross-referencing with other records or sources to confirm details.
- Database Maintenance: Regularly updating the database to reflect new information, such as newly approved drugs, changes in regulations, or updated safety information.
- Collaboration: Working with other departments, such as procurement to ensure the database supports their needs and that they provide accurate data for entry.
- Documentation: Keeping detailed records of data entry processes, changes made to the database, and any issues encountered.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy or Pharmacology.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Proficiency with database software and data entry tools.
- Understanding of pharmaceutical terminology and regulations.
