Job Title: Pharmacist

Job Summary:
The Hospital Pharmacist is responsible for the safe, effective, and efficient management of all aspects of the hospital's drug supply and distribution. This includes dispensing prescription medications, providing drug information and counseling to patients and healthcare professionals, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and hospital policies. Key Responsibilities:

  • Medication Dispensing:Accurately and efficiently dispense prescription medications, ensuring they are correctly labeled with proper patient information.
  • Patient Counseling & Education:Educate patients and their families on medication use, potential side effects, drug interactions, and adherence to treatment plans.
  • Drug Information & Consultation:Provide expert advice to physicians, nurses, and other healthcare staff regarding medication selection, dosage, interactions, and optimal treatment strategies.
  • Inventory Management:Manage the procurement, storage, and distribution of all medications, maintaining appropriate stock levels and ensuring the quality and integrity of drugs.
  • Patient-Centered Care:Monitor patient medication regimens and collaborate with the healthcare team to optimize therapy and prevent adverse events.
  • Regulatory Compliance:Adhere to all federal, state, and local regulations governing pharmacy practice and hospital operations.
  • Record Keeping:Maintain accurate and complete records of all dispensing activities, controlled substances, and patient-related medication information.
  • Continuing Education:Stay updated on new drugs, therapeutic guidelines, and best practices in pharmacy through continuing education.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Diploma in Pharmacy from a recognized institution.
  • Must be a registered Pharmacist under the Pharmacy Act, 1948, with the relevant state pharmacy council.
  • Strong knowledge of pharmacology, pharmacy law, and medication safety.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for patient and team interaction.
  • Proficiency in pharmacy software and other relevant technology.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
