Job Description

The ideal candidate should have excellent communication skills, verifying prescriptions, dispensing medications, counseling patients, and ensuring proper handling of pharmacy products.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Check prescriptions from doctors to ensure accuracy, legality, and appropriateness.
• Dispense medications accurately and in a timely manner.
• Counsel patients on correct usage, dosage, and side effects of medications.
• Respond to patient queries regarding medicines .
• Ensure all pharmacy products are handled responsibly and stored at the correct temperature.
• Regularly check stock levels and expiry dates to maintain inventory integrity.
• Handle cash transactions efficiently and accurately at the pharmacy counter.
• Prepare and maintain daily sales reports and reconcile cash.
• Assist in strategies to increase OTC (Over-the-Counter) medicine sales.
• Manage medicine returns and update stock accordingly.
• Support overall pharmacy operations, ensuring compliance with regulations and patient safety standards.

Qualification

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy (D.Pharm / B.Pharm).
• Valid license/registration with State Pharmacy Council - Mandatory

Experience

• 2plus years of experience in a hospital pharmacy is preferred.

Skill

• Strong knowledge of medicines, prescriptions, and pharmacy practices.
• Good communication skills for patient counseling and answering queries.
• Basic computer skills for billing and maintaining sales reports.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹17,000.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month
