Pharmacist

Position
As a Pharmacist, you would collaborate closely with the Head of the Department and doctors to ensure that the right quality drugs are always available from reliable sources. You will play a crucial role in dispensing and distributing medications, maintaining inventory, and ensuring the pharmacy's cleanliness and organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Medication Management & Dispensing
  • Collaborate with doctors and the pharmacy team to ensure timely availability of medications.
  • Dispense and distribute prescribed medications efficiently.
  • Assist with purchase return entries.
  • Uphold cleanliness and organization standards within the pharmacy.
• Patient Interaction & Service
  • Provide customer-friendly service, including dosage guidance and precautions.
  • Convince patients to consider substitute brands if specific brands are unavailable.
  • Maintain clear and open communication with patients, ensuring a positive experience.
• Clinical Risk & Safety Management
  • Ensure proper medication storage (e.g. storing vaccines at 2–8°C).
  • Regularly monitor room and refrigerator temperatures according to FDA guidelines.
  • Conduct monthly checks to identify medications nearing expiration (within 3 months).
  • Organize and arrange medicines in designated bins under the guidance of the pharmacist.
• Inventory & Fiscal Management
  • Assist in establishing and maintaining inventory standards for medicines.

Qualifications

• B.Pharmacy or M.Pharmacy degree from a recognized institution
• 0–3 years of experience in a hospital pharmacy
• Registered Pharmacist with the Pharmacy Council of Maharashtra.
