- Dispense medications accurately as per valid prescriptions after verifying patient details, drug, dose, route, and duration.
- Ensure safe handling and segregation of high-risk, LASA, and emergency medications.
- Maintain proper storage conditions including temperature monitoring and cold-chain maintenance.
- Follow FIFO/FEFO principles and monitor expiry dates of medicines.
- Maintain statutory registers, stock records, and dispensing documentation as per legal requirements.
- Provide medication counseling to patients regarding dosage, usage, precautions, and side effects.
- Report, document, and participate in analysis of medication errors and adverse drug reactions (ADR).
- Ensure compliance with NABH standards, hospital policies, and pharmacy SOPs.
- Participate in internal audits, quality improvement activities, and NABH assessments.
- Coordinate with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare staff to ensure medication safety and resolve prescription discrepancies.
- Follow infection control practices and biomedical waste management guidelines.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient and hospital information.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Diploma / Bachelor of Pharmacy (D.Pharm / B.Pharm)
- Preferred Punjab State Pharmacy Council
- Knowledge of NABH standards and statutory regulations (Drugs & Cosmetics Act)
EXPERIENCE
- Minimum 1–3 years of hospital pharmacy experience
