Key Responsibilities
- Dispense prescription and OTC medications accurately
- Review prescriptions for dosage, interactions, and contraindications
- Counsel patients on medication usage, side effects, and storage
- Maintain proper records as per regulatory requirements
- Ensure compliance with pharmacy laws and hospital/retail SOPs
- Manage inventory, storage, and expiry of medicines
- Coordinate with doctors, nurses, and healthcare staff
- Follow quality, safety, and ethical standards
Eligibility & Qualifications (Common)
- Degree:
- Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharm) or
- Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) or
- Master of Pharmacy (M.Pharm)
- Mandatory: Registered Pharmacist with State Pharmacy Council
Certification RequirementsMandatory Certification (Both Fresher & Experienced)
- State Pharmacy Council Registration Certificate
- Valid Pharmacist License
Preferred / Additional Certifications
- Good Pharmacy Practice (GPP) Certification
- Clinical Pharmacy Certification (for hospital roles)
- Computerized Pharmacy / Billing Software Training
- NABH / NABL awareness (hospital pharmacy preferred)
Experience RequirementsFresher Pharmacist
- 0–1 year of experience
- Internship / training in retail or hospital pharmacy preferred
- Strong knowledge of pharmacology basics
- Willingness to learn pharmacy operations and compliance
Experienced Pharmacist
- 1–5+ years of experience in retail / hospital / clinical pharmacy
- Proven experience in prescription handling and patient counseling
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance and audits
- Experience with inventory and pharmacy management systems
Required Skills
