Pharmacist (IP Pharmacist will be given preference)

Primary Job Responsibilities: -
- Manage Inpatient (IP) Pharmacy services, ensuring safe, accurate, and timely medication dispensing for admitted patients, with specific focus on ophthalmology-related treatments (e.g., pre/post-operative care, ophthalmic medications, injectables, and sterile preparations).
- Oversee pharmacy operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory, quality, and safety standards.
- Manage medication lifecycle: procurement, storage, dispensing, and rational use, including controlled drugs.
- Review and approve pharmacy-related documentation, protocols, and pharmacological guidelines.
- Ensure effective medication management, including stock control, expiry monitoring, and emergency crash cart readiness.
- Lead process improvement initiatives, implement new methodologies, and ensure continuous quality enhancement.
- Coordinate with internal departments to resolve operational issues and ensure seamless service delivery.
- Monitor adherence to HR, safety (OHS), and environmental policies within the department.
- Supervise staff performance, training, and competency to maintain high service standards.
- Handle audits, clinical trial documentation, and compliance reporting (including ISO indicators).
- Address patient complaints related to pharmacy services in coordination with relevant departments.
- Maintain equipment, facilities, and inventory, reporting incidents and ensuring operational readiness.
- Provide ongoing support to staff and management, reporting challenges and improvement needs.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the reporting manager.
