Pharmacist - Inpatient / Outpatient Float

This pharmacist position works in both the Inpatient and Community Pharmacies.

Hours:

• Pharmacist splits time between Inpatient and Community Pharmacies based on scheduling needs.
• Inpatient Pharmacy Weekend Rotation, two 12 hour shifts every 6 weeks.
• Primary hour coverage is within Inpatient Pharmacy and secondary coverage in Community Pharmacy.
• 32 Hours/Week (0.8 FTE)

General Responsibilities:

• Provide pharmacist coverage in both the Inpatient and Community Pharmacies

• Assist with maintenance of inventory

• Inspect medication areas for outdated medications, proper storage, proper administration records, and availability of reference materials.

• Monitor drug therapy regimens checking for interactions, allergies, unapproved abbreviations, and appropriateness of drug and dose, providing consultation and clarification to providers as necessary.

• Assists in directing pharmacy technicians and support personnel.

• Interpretation and accurate entry of medication orders and patient medication profiles.

• Dispense medications, IVs, Chemotherapy, and checks products prior to dispensing to automated dispensing cabinets.
