Pharmacy Automation Coordinator

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Optimization of drug inventory stored within pharmacy automation.
Coordinate, plan and execute any automation add-ons or new hospital opening or hospital conversions
Maintaining of the Automation Databases (creation of new users(students)/items/reports)
An active member of the pharmacy department and pharmacy council structure as it relates to the use and optimization of pharmacy automation across the system.
Assists with evaluation of future medication automation products for all vendors considered beneficial to the organization
Assists in the development and compliance with pharmacy automation policies and procedures
May be asked to staff and perform all duties of a certified pharmacy technician

Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree preferred
Minimum of 3 years of pharmacy related experience including the oversight of pharmacy automation dispensing and storage technology.
Project management experience in the planning, preparation, and implementation of drug and inventory control automation projects including user training.

Certification and Licensure

Pharmacy Technician License & Pharmacy Technician Board Certification (PTCB)
Eligible to obtain or hold IL Pharmacy Technician License and/or Wisconsin Pharmacy Technician Registration

Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Supervises

Provides direction and oversight to the Automation Support Technicians and responsible for all aspects of automation system-wide.

PAY RANGE:

$26.11 - $37.86
