Job Description: We’re seeking a pharmacy cashier to join our team at Clinch Memorial Hospital in Homerville, GA. The ideal candidate is someone who works well in a team environment, excellent customer service skills, detail-oriented, and willing to assist where necessary. Additionally we offer the opportunity for advancement, employee recognition, and team collaboration.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

• Responsible for operating the cash register and assisting customers with their transactions
• Responsible for exemplifying customer service skills when greeting and assisting customers
• Responsible for accurately handling the cash drawer and processing payments and charges
• Assists the pharmacist in opening/closing of the retail pharmacy/gift shop areas daily, ensuring areas are locked when closing
• Maintains inventory of supplies in the pharmacy and reorders them accordingly. Ensures all supplies are stocked and maintained
• Ensures the right medication is given to the right person every time by verifying the first name, last name, and date of birth
• Assists the pharmacist in completing courtesy calls when customers have not picked up prescriptions within a 7-day timeframe
• Ensures will-call prescriptions remain organized by last name

Position Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• One year of cashier experience preferred

Schedule Details:

• 30 - 40 hours a week
