As a Cashier/Pharmacy Clerk at Main Street Pharmacy, you will take your first step into a rewarding career in the pharmacy and healthcare field. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy helping people, providing excellent customer service, and working in a fast-paced environment. You will support daily pharmacy operations, assist customers, and help maintain an organized, efficient workspace.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Greet customers warmly and answer questions.
  • Operate the cash register, process purchases, returns, and payments.
  • Answer phones promptly while assisting customers at the counter.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and encourage customers to leave reviews.
  • Receive and route prescription drop-offs to the pharmacist.
  • Ensure patient information is complete and accurate when accepting prescriptions.
  • Assist with resolving customer issues (e.g., questions about orders or pick-up times).
  • Sort, stock, and label products; help monitor store and front-end inventory.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Perform administrative tasks such as filing, record-keeping, and data entry as assigned.
  • Assist with preparing patient orders for pickup (excluding prescription filling tasks).
  • Respond to patient and provider inquiries and refer clinical questions to the pharmacist.
  • Help maintain compliance with store policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Support front-end operations by stocking shelves and maintaining product displays.
  • Generate sales by accurately recording and processing transactions.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Fluency in English and Spanish is required.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
