The HealthCare Connection (THCC) is seeking a Pharmacy Courier who will play a vital role in delivering medications and supplies to our patients while representing our commitment to excellent care. Position Overview:
The Pharmacy Courier is responsible for the accurate, timely, and safe delivery of medications, medical supplies, and equipment to patients of The HealthCare Connection. You will act as the liaison between the pharmacy and patients, ensuring deliveries are conducted with professionalism and confidentiality. This role involves routine vehicle maintenance checks and requires adherence to delivery schedules and regulatory guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:
- Transport home delivery prescriptions and medical supplies to THCC patients.
- Prioritize and organize delivery routes efficiently to meet time-sensitive needs.
- Complete required documentation to track and justify mileage driven.
- Conduct routine maintenance checks on the pharmacy delivery vehicle, including fueling, cleaning, and reporting repair needs promptly to the Financial Team.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and safeguard patient confidentiality at all times.
- Handle electronic payments and transactions as needed during deliveries.
- Assist with other tasks as assigned by the Pharmacist or Supervisor.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Valid Ohio Driver’s License with an insurable and bondable driving record.
- Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions in English.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a courteous and patient-focused approach.
- Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Understanding of proper handling and transportation of pharmaceuticals, including temperature control.
Physical & Mental Requirements:
- Ability to drive up to 8 hours per day with multiple stops while maintaining focus.
- Comfortable working in various conditions, including adverse weather, traffic, and tight deadlines.
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 lbs occasionally.
- Frequent grasping, handling, and manual dexterity.
- Occasional bending, kneeling, squatting, climbing, and working in confined or noisy environments.
- Capacity to understand and execute detailed instructions and specifications.
- Subject to random drug testing.
