Pharmacy Sales Representative

Accurately process prescriptions received from healthcare providers or patients, ensuring adherence to relevant regulations and guidelines.

Enter prescription and patient information into the pharmacy management system with precision and attention to detail.

Verify insurance coverage for prescription medications and process claims efficiently.

Prior Authorization: Assist in obtaining prior authorization for medications when required, following established protocols and guidelines.

Conduct thorough checks for potential drug interactions and communicate relevant findings to pharmacists.

Provide basic counseling to patients on medication usage, dosage, and potential side effects.

Assist in maintaining optimal inventory levels by monitoring stock, placing orders, and conducting periodic audits.

Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including HIPAA and FDA guidelines, throughout all pharmacy operations.

Participate in quality assurance activities to identify and rectify errors or discrepancies in prescription processing and other tasks.

Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and assisting patients with prescription-related concerns.

Stay informed about new developments in pharmacy practice, regulations, and technology through ongoing education and training initiatives.

Requirements:

Prior experience in pharmacy operations, prescription processing, or healthcare administration.

Proficiency in using pharmacy management software and other relevant technology platforms.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and prescription processing.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, healthcare providers, and colleagues.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Knowledge of pharmacy laws, regulations, and best practices.

Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays if required.
