Pharmacy Support Technician

We’re growing and seeking a passionate and dedicated Pharmacy Support Technician to join our Elk Grove team. This will be a variable schedule from 7am-8pm.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned at any time via verbal or written instructions.

Maintain appropriate stock levels of large volume IV solutions, electrolytes, and supplies in the pharmacy clean room.
Assist in receiving and stocking incoming medications and supplies.
Maintain lab logs (daily and monthly cleaning of lab, lab QA/QC logs, temperature logs).
Assist with warehouse and pharmacy office duties as needed.
Assists Pharmacist, as needed, in preparation and dispensing of prescriptions, and other duties.
Assist in medical record keeping with scanning and filing of patient documents at the pharmacy
Other duties may be assigned at any time via verbal or written instructions.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. IV experience preferred, but not required.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Pharmacy Technician License.
