Hometown Pharmacy is looking for a dependable and customer-focused Pharmacy Technician to support our pharmacists in delivering high-quality care to our community. Whether you’re experienced or looking to grow your career in pharmacy, we provide hands-on training and a supportive team environment.
As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a key role in both patient experience and pharmacy operations:
Provide exceptional customer service—greet and assist patients in person and over the phone
Accurately enter patient information and prescription orders into the system
Prepare prescriptions by counting, labeling, and packaging medications
Process and submit insurance claims; assist with troubleshooting billing issues
Support inventory management, including ordering, stocking, and organizing medications and supplies
Maintain a clean, organized, and professional pharmacy environment
Collaborate with pharmacists and team members to support patient care services
Build relationships with regular patients and contribute to a welcoming atmosphere
Develop knowledge of medications, including brand/generic names and common uses
Assist with over-the-counter products and basic register functions as needed
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent communication and customer service skills
A positive, team-oriented attitude
Motivation to learn and grow in a fast-paced healthcare environment
Basic math skills and problem-solving ability

High school diploma or GED (required)
Previous pharmacy experience or technician training (preferred, but not required)
Adhere to all company policies, professional standards, and confidentiality requirements (including HIPAA)
Maintain ethical and compliant pharmacy practices
Complete all required training and continuing education
Ability to stand for extended periods
Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds
