Red River Animal Emergency Hospital and Referral Center was established in 2005 as North Dakotas first dedicated Veterinary Emergency Hospital. Over the years RRAEH’s passion to serve its veterinary community has led to non-stop growth of our staff, facility, and level of patient care. Even as we continue to grow, we work hard to make sure every employee is valued and heard, that we are always pushing ourselves to grow and learn, and that we are providing the best patient care and customer service! RRAEH strives to provide the highest level of medicine for our veterinary community, while creating a pleasant and fulfilling work environment for our team. Our hospital was founded by local veterinarians and remains that way, with many of our owners working side by side with you in our hospital. We are currently a team of 110 plus employees who are dedicated and passionate about veterinary medicine. In the last few years, we have expanded to open our Referral Center that has created space for additional specialties so that we can better serve our veterinary community. We currently staff Specialists in Emergency and Critical Care, Surgery, and Internal Medicine. The Pharmacy Technician
The Pharmacy Technician position at RRAEH is an integral member of the veterinary team and hospital. The Pharmacy Tech will be working closely with our veterinarians, veterinary technicians, and support staff in caring for our patients. This role will include job duties such as preparing and distributing medications, managing refills, inventory management, and more. We are looking for someone who is motivated and forward-thinking to help us establish and grow this new position.
As a Pharmacy Technician at RRAEH you will:
Receive and accurately fill all in-house prescriptions for emergency, surgical, and internal medicine departments, with expansion into oncology, and ensure timely and precise distribution of medications as needed. Demonstrate strong organizational skills and a consistent commitment to patient safety and high-quality care.
· Process prescriptions orders and ensure all information is complete and accurate
· Select the appropriate medications and accurately measure dosages to fill prescriptions
· Sort, stock, label medication and monitor inventory (Assisting our Inventory Manager)
· Accurately calculate drug dosages, concentrations, and quantities
· Manage prescription requests in our EMR (EzyVet) and online RX requests through Chewy.com
· Undertake administrative tasks as assigned
· Comply with all security measures and quality standards
· Knowledge of pharmacy law and medical terminology
· Excellent communication and customer service skills
· Outstanding organizational skills
· Reliable with a keen eye for detail
· Communicate effectively with clients and other healthcare professionals within and outside of our hospital
· Maintains neat, organized work areas to ensure accurate filling of prescriptions.
· Performs housekeeping duties within the pharmacy department.
· Follows all company polices relating to loss prevention
· Able to maintain flexibility in new or changing work roles and the modification of job responsibilities as required.
Salary: Starting wage up to $23 an hour (more with experience)
Schedule: This position includes weekends and holidays. This is a full-time position requiring 36 to 40 hours a week. The typical schedule is 10am - 10pm 3 days per week. Some rotation/flexibility is required.

Qualifications:
· Pharmacy Technician Certification in ND (Required)
