Pharmacy Technician

Duties

• Prepare prescription medications accurately under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, following all safety protocols and legal requirements
• Assist customers by answering questions about medications, usage instructions, and over-the-counter products with clear communication
• Manage medication inventory by stocking shelves, checking expiration dates, and placing orders for supplies as needed
• Verify prescription information for accuracy and completeness before dispensing to ensure patient safety
• Process insurance claims and handle billing procedures efficiently to facilitate smooth transactions
• Maintain detailed records of prescriptions filled, inventory logs, and patient interactions in compliance with regulatory standards
• Support the pharmacy team during busy periods by organizing workflows and ensuring a clean, organized workspace

Requirements

• Certification as a Pharmacy Technician from an accredited program or state-approved training course
• Current registration or license to practice as a Pharmacy Technician (if applicable in your region)
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks accurately
• Effective communication skills to interact professionally with patients, pharmacists, and healthcare providers
• Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• Basic knowledge of pharmacy software systems and medication terminology is preferred but not mandatory
• Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to all safety regulations

Pay: $18.50 - $21.00 per hour
