Reports to:  Pharmacist in Charge

Hours:  8:30 AM - 5:00 PM

FLSA Status:  Non-Exempt

Role Overview

The Pharmacy Technician is a vital role within our operations, focused on accurately entering patient and prescription information. Reporting to the Pharmacist in Charge, you will ensure patient safety, maintain precise records, and support the overall operations of the pharmacy by preventing systemic errors in custom-compounded therapies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Input new and refill prescription details including dosages and patient demographics with high precision
  • Submit prescription claims to insurance providers and resolve billing rejections
  • Maintain comprehensive patient profiles, including medical conditions and allergies, to prevent adverse interactions
  • Collaborate with pharmacists to resolve data discrepancies and assist with inventory management
Qualifications
  • Current pharmacy technician license in the state of Arkansas required
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a compounding pharmacy (503A or 503B setting preferred)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for patient and practitioner interaction
  • Superior customer service skills and professional interpersonal abilities
  • Familiarity with FDA regulations, USP standards, and cGMP principles is highly preferred
