Pharmacy Technician

Job Description

In this role you will be packing temperature sensitive medications and supplies according to drug specifications, stocking workstations with supplies and processing shipments. The Patient Experience is paramount at MDR Encino Pharmacy, and our team of Pharmacy Technicians take a great deal of pride in getting the patients we serve their prescriptions in a timely and accurate manner.

What You Will Do

• Work with our team of Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians to accurately pull, fill and ship medications, medical supplies, and instructional materials.
• Be proactive in ensuring all medication needs and regulatory compliance standards are met and patient confidentiality is maintained.
• Use your basic math skills to ensure the patients receive the correct dosage of medicine.
• Work well in a team-oriented organization by working directly with internal business partners to resolve issues promptly.

Qualifications

• Possess an active and clear California Pharmacy Technician license.
• Must be able to work the required hours of the shift, eight-hour shift, Monday – Friday and alternating weekends.
• Must be able to work on-site.
• Able to lift anywhere from 15-25 lbs.
• Remaining upright and on your feet for sustained periods of time
• PC Literate; have basic knowledge of Word and Excel
