Pharmacy Technician

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and dispense medications accurately under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist
  • Manage medication inventory, ensuring proper storage, stock levels, and timely reordering to prevent shortages
  • Assist with patient intake processes by verifying prescriptions and patient information for accuracy
  • Support medication administration by providing clear instructions to healthcare professionals and patients when needed
  • Maintain meticulous records of medication dispensing, intake logs, and pharmacy documentation in compliance with regulatory standards
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to deliver exceptional patient service and support clinical workflows effectively
  • Compounding sterile and non-sterile prescriptions may be a part of your role
  • Provide exceptional customer service

Requirements

  • Proven pharmacy technician experience with a strong understanding of pharmacy procedures
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, medication administration processes
  • Familiarity with pharmacy software systems and inventory management tools
  • Excellent communication skills focused on patient service and team collaboration
  • Certification as a pharmacy technician (e.g., PTCB or equivalent) is not required at the time of hiring - but in time would need to be acquired per the board requirements
  • Vaccination certification will be required, although, not necessarily at the time of hire
  • Ability to multi-task while providing efficient and friendly service to customers

Pay: From $12,345.00 per hour
