Duties
- Perform non-compounding pharmacy technician tasks under the supervision of a pharmacist.
- Assist customers with questions or concerns and refer any medical questions or doctor’s calls to a pharmacist.
- Monitory e-prescribing queue on routine basis daily.
- Enter prescription information and maintain accurate patient profiles for new prescriptions, refills, and patient changes.
- Verify patient eligibility and authorization for payment.
- Retrieve and file pharmacy prescriptions maintaining orderly and accurate files.
- Access, input and retrieve information from the computer including daily and weekly reports.
- Assist pharmacists in preparing prescriptions, including: retrieve, count and measure drugs (except controlled substance schedule II), cap and uncap vials and bottles, print labels.
- Ensure all drugs have the appropriate warning labels attached.
- Assist the pharmacist in checking in, pricing, and shelving drug orders (except controlled substance schedule II).
- Manage medication inventory, including stock replenishment, expiration checks, and proper storage procedures.
- Assist in preparing damaged, outdated, and recalled drugs for return.
- Maintain accurate medical terminology documentation and recordkeeping for all prescriptions and patient interactions.

Requirements
- Licensed Pharmacy Technician registered with Pennsylvania State Board of Pharmacy.
- Proven pharmacy technician experience with a strong understanding of medical terminology and medication management.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver excellent patient service with compassionate communication skills.
- Prior experience with pharmacy inventory management, intake processes, and medication safety protocols.
