We are looking for a full-time Pharmacy Technician to join our collaborative home-healthcare team in downtown Rock Springs. The ideal candidate is detail oriented, works well in a team, has the ability to multitask, thrives in a fast paced environment, exhibits a pleasant personality, and provides stellar customer service.
Responsibilities will include:
- Assists pharmacists in filling prescription orders as permitted by State Board of Pharmacy.
- Prepares medications for dispensing, packaging and shipment.
- Takes inventory, places orders, checks in drugs and supplies, stocks shelves and removes out of date items form the inventory.
- Enters medical supply orders in pharmacy system
- Communicates with all customers (patients, clinics, care-givers, physicians) in an amicable and professional manner.
- Inputs patient data and prescription information into the pharmacy information management system.
- Maintains knowledge of and abides by all applicable pharmacy laws and regulations.
Qualifications:
- High school degree or equivalent preferred
- State Pharmacy Technician license/registration or tech-in-training license required or willing to obtain. Rock Springs IV Center will assist in getting these licenses.
- National pharmacy technician certification or willing to obtain withing 2 years of employment. Rock Springs IV Center will assist with this.
- IV experience preferred, but not necessary
- Flexibility in working schedule
- Ability to work in a group
- Strong verbal and written communication skills required
- Strong customer service skills required
- Comfortable performing repetitive motions/tasks required
- Ability to manage several tasks at the same time; Ability to focus on tasks; Ability to evaluate operating conditions; Ability to exercise sound judgment
- Demonstrate ability to use technology such as computers
