Pharmacy Technician

No prior experience necessary, on the job training provided for the right candidate

Responsibilities:

The Pharmacy Technician plays an important role in the operation of the pharmacy and must be able to:

Provide positive, friendly, and helpful high quality customer service to patients

Maintain patient confidentiality

Must be able to multi-task in a fast paced environment

Understand how to perform basic mathematical calculations

Accurately fill and refill prescriptions under the direct supervision of the Pharmacist within the guidelines of federal, state, and local legal requirements.

Maintain and stock inventory as directed for shelf stock

Properly check in drug orders and put merchandise in its correct location.

Communicate with doctor’s offices and insurance companies for billing and patient needs.

Show proficiency in typing and computer operation.

Able to stand for long periods of time. (May include repetitive standing, bending, stooping, kneeling, lifting, stretching, and reaching)

Perform other duties as assigned by pharmacist

Qualifications:

Licensed or have the ability to be licensed by the Missouri State Board of Pharmacy.

Willing to work a flexible schedule.

Normal business hours Monday - Friday 8:30am to 5:30pm, Saturday 9am to 12:30pm

Experience:

Pharmacy Technician: experience preferred (but NOT REQUIRED)

License:

Pharmacy Technician License (Preferred but NOT REQUIRED)

Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) (Preferred but not required)
