Pharmacy Technician

UnitedRx is seeking a reliable, detail-focused Pharmacy Technician to support our long-term care pharmacy operations. This role is best suited for individuals who are comfortable with repetitive, production-based work, strict accuracy standards, and a fast-paced, team-driven environment.

This is not a retail setting—our workflow is structured, deadline-driven, and focused on supporting nursing facilities with timely medication delivery.

Shift/Hours:

  • Rotating shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Set schedule assigned based on business needs
  • Must be able to remain on task for extended periods and meet daily production goals
  • Attendance and punctuality are critical due to team-based workflow

Requirements:

  • Education, Qualifications & Skills: High School Diploma or GED.
  • Must be able to work evenings, weekends, holidays
  • Licensed KS tech preferred.

Core Responsibilities

  • Accurately fill and package medication orders under pharmacist supervision
  • Prepare and maintain 30-day cycle fill medication cards in alignment with facility schedules
  • Review and process facility pre-fill lists to ensure on-time delivery
  • Handle returned medications, including proper sorting, recycling, and disposal
  • Perform pre-packaging of high-volume medications during non-peak times
  • Package medications and apply labels following standardized procedures
  • Maintain an organized workstation and ensure packing materials are stocked
  • Follow all regulatory requirements, including HIPAA compliance
  • Support team workflow and adapt to changing priorities throughout the shift

Qualifications & Fit

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Kansas Pharmacy Technician license preferred (or willingness to obtain)
  • Prior long-term care or cycle fill experience strongly preferred
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks with a high level of accuracy
  • Comfortable working in a structured, metric-driven environment
  • Strong reliability, accountability, and team collaboration skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
