Work location: Texas Health HEB 1600 Hospital Parkway TX 76022

Work hours: Full Time (40hours) Evening shift 2:30PM - 11:00PM, to include rotating weekends and holidays.

Education

• High School Diploma or Equivalent Required

Experience

• No experience required. 1 year of pharmacy experience preferred

Licenses and Certifications

• RPhT - Registered Pharmacy Technician Upon Hire Required and
• Other IV Certification Preferred

What You Will Do

Tasks specific to Tech I:

• Timely and accurate preparation, delivery to the nursing units/appropriate departments & storage of medications, including (when appropriate) the use of technology to do so, varies by location.
• Ensuring accuracy of one's own work as well as the maintenance of required competencies, and other documentation. Must reflect consistently departmental quality improvement and Patient Safety standards, programs, and initiatives.
• Ongoing professional development and growth, leads by example, perpetuates accountability, manages own time.
• Communicate effectively, develop positive working relationships and role model teamwork that reflects the Texas Health Promise Behaviors. Trains new employees on routine tasks, under the direction of designated personnel.
• Shares the responsibility for minimizing pharmaceutical costs (including wastage) and discovering new process efficiencies.
• Other duties as assigned.
