Pharmacy Technician Instructor

We are seeking a self-driven, motivated individual to assist students in reaching their career goal.
The successful individual will be responsible for the coordination, planning, preparation, presentation, and evaluation of classroom instruction and related activities. The Instructor is responsible for performing assigned duties for the day and/or evening classes at Unitech Training
Academy.

Job Description:

• Implement daily lesson plans
• Administer exams and maintain an accurate grade book
• Attend staff meetings and other organization sponsored meetings and activities
• Enforce policy and procedures as set forth by Unitech Training Academy
• Participate in professional development training and know information concerning new advances and procedures in your field through continuing education
• Ensure proper utilization of tests and instructor resources by publishers
• Monitor student grades/attendance and input daily
• Issue and review monthly progress reports with students
• Advise students, contact absent students, and document all communication in the SIS
• Implement field trips
• Maintain a professional appearance and attitude to set an example for students
• Provide an engaging and orderly classroom atmosphere conducive to learning
• Provide proper instruction and supervision in scheduled labs for assigned students
• Follow OSHA and HIPAA regulations
• Duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Must have at least four years of field experience in instructional discipline as well as an approved certification or licensure in instructional discipline as mandated by the Louisiana Board of Regents for state approval. Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.00 - $24.00 per hour

Experience:

• Teaching: 1 year (Preferred)
• Pharmacy technician experience: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• Pharmacy Technician Certification (Preferred)
• Licensed Pharmacist (Preferred)
