Pharmacy Technician Instructor

Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Pharmacy Technician Instructor to join our educational team. Duties

  • Deliver interactive classroom lessons on topics such as medical terminology, pharmacy software, compounding medications, and acute pain management
  • Facilitate hands-on laboratory sessions to teach medication preparation, compounding techniques, and patient assessment skills
  • Utilize learning management systems (LMS) to track student progress, administer assessments, and provide feedback
  • Conduct research on emerging pharmacy practices and incorporate findings into instructional materials
  • Mentor students through clinical rotations, including pharmacy residency programs and real-world pharmacy settings
  • Assess student performance in classroom activities, laboratory exercises, and practical exams to ensure competency

Requirements

  • Proven experience in pharmacy technician roles with clinical pharmacy experience, including patient assessment and pain management expertise
  • Strong background in higher education teaching or adult education environments with classroom experience preferred
  • Familiarity with pharmacy software systems and learning technology tools for effective instruction
  • Knowledge of laboratory procedures such as compounding medications and laboratory experience in pharmaceutical sciences
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly and engagingly
  • 3 years field experience, PTCB or ExcPT certication , and state board of pharmacy registration.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team while maintaining a positive, energetic approach
