Duties

  • Prepare and dispense medications accurately under the supervision of licensed pharmacists.
  • Assist with medication intake, verifying prescriptions, and ensuring proper documentation in compliance with medical terminology standards.
  • Manage inventory levels by ordering, receiving, and organizing pharmaceutical supplies to maintain optimal stock levels for the store.
  • Provide exceptional patient service by answering medication-related questions, assisting with medication administration procedures, and supporting patient care initiatives.
  • Support critical care and acute care teams by ensuring timely medication delivery and maintaining strict adherence to aseptic techniques during preparation.
  • Maintain detailed records of medication dispensing, inventory transactions, and patient interactions to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to facilitate smooth medication workflows, including intake assessments and medication reconciliation processes.

Qualifications

  • Proven pharmacy technician experience with a strong understanding of medical terminology and medication management practices.
  • Prior experience working in retail pharmacy is preferred but will train the right person.
  • Excellent patient service skills with a compassionate approach to patient care and communication.
  • Ability to work efficiently within a team while maintaining attention to detail in fast-paced environments.

Pay: $13.25 - $18.00 per hour
