Phlebotomist

Job Summary:
The Clinic-Based Collector/Phlebotomist represents Phase2 Labs while working within physician practices and clinical offices during regular business hours. This role focuses on providing exceptional patient care and accurate specimen collection services in a fixed healthcare setting.

Responsibilities:

• Create positive and professional relationships with physicians, clinical staff, and patients
• Demonstrate full “buy-in” to Phase2 Labs’ culture, mission, and quality standards
• Follow accountability measures and strive to meet or exceed key performance indicators (KPIs)
• Perform venipuncture, capillary, and other specimen collections following proper phlebotomy techniques and safety procedures
• Verify patient identity and ensure patient comfort, safety, and privacy during collection
• Accurately label and document specimens, ensuring all requisitions (paper or electronic) are complete and legible
• Enter and verify patient and test information in the online portal or LIS system
• Process specimens as needed — including centrifuging, aliquoting, and preparing for transport — while maintaining specimen integrity
• Follow all policies and procedures for specimen handling, storage, and shipping compliance
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation following infection control and biohazard safety standards
• Communicate effectively with clinic staff to coordinate collections and resolve any patient or order issues
• Demonstrate compassion, professionalism, and confidentiality in all patient interactions in accordance with HIPAA regulations
• Manage and track inventory of collection supplies, ensuring adequate stock levels
• Participate in ongoing training to stay current on laboratory requirements and collection best practices

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
