We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomist to join one of our partner clinics, an internal medicine practice focused on serving adults and seniors. Job Description:
The ideal candidate will have experience performing phlebotomy on adults and seniors, including patients with chronic conditions or challenging venous access. This role requires excellent communication and a compassionate approach to ensure patient comfort and build trust. You will also be responsible for accurate labeling, completion of requisition forms, and ensuring samples are properly prepared for transport to our laboratory.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform venipunctures and blood draws with a focus on adult and elderly patients.
• Manage patients with chronic conditions (e.g., diabetes, hypertension) and challenging veins with patience and expertise.
• Accurately label and process blood samples to maintain integrity and avoid delays in testing.
• Complete and verify laboratory requisition forms.
• Ensure sample preparation and timely transport to the lab.
• Maintain a sterile, organized workspace and adhere to safety protocols.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with medical staff and patients.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience performing phlebotomy on adult and senior patients.
• Phlebotomy certification required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on patient comfort and empathy.
• Experience with challenging venipunctures, particularly in patients with chronic illnesses.
• Attention to detail for proper labeling and handling of samples.
