Phlebotomist/Medical Assistant

Job Summary

Hiring for an immediate position. We are looking for an experience Phlebotomist and or Medical Assistant who is confident with venipuncture, front desk / computer duties and enjoys working with patients, and can operate both independently and in a team setting retail lab environment. Must have the ability to multi task and have exceptional customer service. And have some knowledge of lab tests

Responsibilities include :

Performing venipuncture on patients of all ages

Collecting additional specimens via saliva and urine for both DNA screening and Drug Testing

Injections

Verifying patient identity and ensuring accurate test orders before collection.

Entering in patient information into ordering system

Properly label, process, package and ship specimens to partner laboratories

Maintain quality control and lab inventory of supplies

Assist customers with selecting proper tests base off product knowledge

Process payments- must be also comfortable handling cash

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and process specimens accurately, adhering to laboratory protocols and aseptic techniques.
  • Measure vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration to assist clinicians in assessment.
  • Assist healthcare providers with clinical procedures, including patient positioning and equipment setup.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of patient information, specimen details, and laboratory results in compliance with privacy regulations.
  • Support laboratory operations by organizing samples, labeling specimens correctly, and ensuring timely delivery to the lab.
  • Provide excellent patient service by explaining procedures clearly, addressing concerns compassionately, and maintaining a professional demeanor at all times.

Skills

  • Proficiency in laboratory procedures and techniques related to specimen collection and processing.
  • Hands-on laboratory experience with blood sampling, venipuncture (venipuncture), and phlebotomy techniques.
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, and clinical laboratory practices..
  • Knowledge of aseptic techniques to prevent contamination during specimen collection.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with healthcare teams and provide clear instructions to patients.

Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
