Job Description

Utilizes critical thinking skills and independent judgment to analyze, correlate, and interpret data, providing advanced troubleshooting. Supports department compliance with laboratory accreditation and regulatory requirements such as CLIA, CAP, TJC, and OSHA. Oversees day-to-day operations and provides input on associate performance, training, and competency. Handles inquiries and resolves complaints related to laboratory services promptly and effectively. Communicates critical and significant results to coworkers, providers, and other departments to ensure continuity of laboratory operations and patient care. Promotes a positive, team-oriented environment that reflects the mission and values of the organization. Follows laboratory and hospital policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure compliance with regulatory and accrediting agency standards. Identifies and communicates opportunities to improve service, quality, productivity, workflows, supply management, and cost containment. Manages the appropriate use of supplies and materials to ensure productive activities and financial stewardship. Performs specimen collection, including venous, capillary, urine drug screen, swab, or other types, and processes specimens as defined by site. Operates, maintains, and troubleshoots testing-related processes, equipment, and instrumentation, ensuring proper documentation. Monitors test system performance and takes corrective action as necessary. Other duties as assigned.

Pay Range

$19.58 - $31.32
