I am looking for an experienced PHP Developer to support and enhance an existing PHP-based platform within a complex technology landscape. This role will focus on maintaining, improving, and securing the current application, following recent technical assessments and penetration testing.

You will work closely with internal teams to remediate identified vulnerabilities, support ongoing development, and ensure the platform remains stable, secure, and scalable.

Key Responsibilities

• Support and enhance an existing PHP application built on a modern PHP framework
• Address security vulnerabilities identified through penetration testing
• Maintain and improve application performance, reliability, and code quality
• Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to deliver fixes and enhancements
• Support integrations, bug fixes, and minor feature development as required

Key Skills & Experience

• Strong experience developing applications using PHP and PHP frameworks (e.g. Laravel, Symfony)
• Experience working with existing / legacy codebases
• Good understanding of application security and vulnerability remediation
• Experience with databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL or similar)
• Familiarity with REST APIs and integrations
• Ability to work independently and within an established development environment

Nice to Have

• Experience responding to penetration test findings
• Knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD, or cloud environments
• Exposure to front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)

This role would suit a hands-on PHP Developer who enjoys improving and securing existing systems rather than building from scratch.
