PHP & Wordpress Developer

We are looking for a skilled PHP Developer with experience in WordPress and Laravel frameworks to join our development team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building, maintaining, and optimizing websites and web applications, primarily in WordPress , while collaborating with designers, project managers, and other developers to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and Maintain WordPress Websites:
• Customize WordPress themes and plugins to meet client specifications.
• Manage and optimize WordPress databases, ensuring site speed, security, and performance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with existing WordPress sites.
• PHP and Backend Development:
• Write, test, and deploy efficient, clean PHP code for various projects.
• Integrate MySQL or other databases and ensure seamless data management.
• Debug and resolve backend issues and optimize backend processes for performance.
• Collaborate with Teams:
• Work closely with designers, front-end developers, and project managers to complete projects.
• Participate in project planning and contribute to technical discussions.
• Keep documentation updated for code, processes, and configurations.
• Stay Updated on Industry Trends:
• Keep up with the latest updates in WordPress, Laravel, and PHP development.
• Implement security best practices and optimize for scalability.
• Explore new technologies, tools, and libraries to improve development practices.

Qualifications:

• Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.
• Experience:
• 2+ years of experience with PHP, WordPress, and Laravel.
• Proficiency in custom WordPress development (themes and plugins).
• Experience in Laravel 7+ and familiarity with modern PHP development practices.
• Technical Skills:
• Strong knowledge of PHP, MySQL, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Familiarity with front-end frameworks like Bootstrap or Tailwind CSS.
• Proficient in version control systems, such as Git.
• Experience with API development and integration.
• Soft Skills:
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.

Preferred Skills (Bonus):

• Knowledge of Laravel Jetstream, Livewire, or similar tools for application development.
• Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., Vue.js, React).
• Familiarity with Docker or other containerization tools.
