PHP & WordPress Developer

Position: PHP & WordPress Developer (Mid Level)
Location: Shahrah-e-Faisal, Karachi
Working days/ Timings: Mon - Fri / 11:30AM- 8:30PM

Job Type: Full time- Onsite.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain WordPress websites and backend-driven web applications.
• Build and customize WordPress themes and plugins based on project requirements.
• Develop and maintain REST APIs within WordPress for integration with external systems.
• Work on WordPress Multisite setups and manage multiple site environments.
• Implement and customize websites using the Avada Framework.
• Integrate third-party services and APIs, including payment gateways and subscription systems.
• Optimize websites and applications for performance, scalability, SEO, responsiveness, and security.
• Troubleshoot bugs, debug issues, and ensure smooth system performance

Collaborate with designers, project managers, and developers (including international teams).

• Communicate with clients to understand requirements and provide technical updates.
• Use tools like JIRA to track tasks and development progress

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• At least 3 years of proven experience in WordPress development.
• Strong hands-on experience in custom WordPress plugin development.
• Solid understanding of Core PHP and backend development concepts.
• Strong skills in PHP, WordPress, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Experience building or consuming REST APIs.
• Hands-on experience with WordPress Multisite.
• Experience with MySQL, including writing custom and optimized queries.
• Experience integrating third-party APIs and payment gateways (e.g., Stripe).
• Familiarity with JIRA or similar project management tools.
• Ability to work with international clients and distributed teams.
