PHP/Drupal Software Engineer

Role Overview
We are looking for a Product Lead - Software Engineer with deep expertise in PHP and Drupal to join our platform team. This role is for someone who thinks like a product engineer—owning outcomes, driving iterative delivery, and ensuring the technical execution aligns with user needs and business goals. You will lead development efforts, collaborate across functions, and contribute to a product operating model focused on value delivery, transparency, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Product Engineering & Delivery

• ● Own end-to-end delivery of product features, from discovery to deployment and iteration.
• ● Translate product requirements into scalable, maintainable technical solutions using PHP and Drupal.
• ● Deliver in small, testable increments and participate in regular demos to validate value.
• ● Monitor system performance, reliability, and operational metrics to drive improvements.

Technical Leadership

• ● Lead and mentor developers in PHP/Drupal best practices and product engineering principles.
• ● Ensure code quality, security, and compliance with architectural standards.
• ● Collaborate with product managers, AI engineers, and data teams to co-design solutions.
• ● Participate in and facilitate peer code reviews and technical planning sessions.

Collaboration & Communication

• ● Work within a cross-functional team to align technical execution with product goals.
• ● Raise blockers early and communicate technical trade-offs clearly.
• ● Maintain clear documentation for features, systems, and decisions.

Product Mindset Execution

• ● Focus on measurable outcomes—usability, adoption, system performance, and business KPIs.

• ● Ensure features are always demo-ready and aligned with user and leadership expectations.

Qualifications

• ● Minimum 5 years of experience in software engineering with strong expertise in PHP and Drupal.
• ● Proven experience in a product-driven development environment, preferably within agile or product operating models.
• ● Strong understanding of modern PHP frameworks, Drupal architecture, and backend integrations.
• ● Experience leading technical projects or mentoring developers.
• ● Ability to work collaboratively with non-technical stakeholders and translate business needs into technical solutions.
• ● Excellent communication skills and a proactive, outcome-oriented mindset.

Preferred Skills

• ● Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD, and cloud platforms.
• ● Experience with API design, data integration, and system scalability.
• ● Knowledge of accessibility, security, and performance best practices.
• ● Exposure to AI or data-driven product development is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED15,000.00 - AED17,000.00 per month
