Physiatrist (PM&R)

Institutes of Health (IOH) is a leader in comprehensive behavioral medicine, medical psychology, chronic pain rehabilitation, and neurocognitive treatment. As we continue expanding into the Los Angeles market, we are seeking a Physiatrist (PM&R) to support patients with musculoskeletal, neuromuscular, and functional impairments.

The Role

The PM&R Physician will provide outpatient rehabilitation focused on restoring function, managing pain non-surgically, and supporting return-to-work strategies. You’ll partner closely with therapy, behavioral health, and occupational medicine teams.

What You’ll Do

• Provide non-surgical rehabilitation management for musculoskeletal, neurological, and chronic pain conditions
• Perform functional and impairment evaluations
• Collaborate with physical/occupational therapy and psychology providers
• Track progress and optimize therapeutic interventions
• Document findings in compliance with Workers’ Compensation standards

What We’re Looking For

• Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in PM&R
• Active and unrestricted medical license to practice in California (required)
• Experience with musculoskeletal and neurorehabilitation cases
• Workers’ Compensation experience preferred
• Excellent documentation and interdisciplinary communication skills
• Patient-first mindset focused on functional outcomes
