Job Purpose:

To promote physical fitness, teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship among students through effective instruction in Physical Education, with a focus on Cricket and Volleyball. The teacher will plan, organize, and conduct physical education programs and inter-school sports activities to develop students’ interest and skills in these sports.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver age-appropriate PE lessons and sports training sessions, especially in Cricket and Volleyball.
• Develop students’ technical, tactical, and physical skills in both sports.
• Conduct fitness assessments and track student progress regularly.
• Organize intra-school and inter-school sports competitions and tournaments.
• Identify and train talented students for competitive sports teams.
• Ensure safety protocols and proper use of sports equipment and facilities.
• Collaborate with school staff to promote overall health and wellness programs.
• Maintain records of attendance, performance, and achievements of students.
• Encourage values of fair play, teamwork, and discipline in all activities.
• Assist in the procurement, care, and inventory of sports equipment and materials.
• Stay updated on modern coaching techniques and sports science developments.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physical Education (B.P.Ed / M.P.Ed) or equivalent.
• Specialized certification or proven experience in Cricket and Volleyball coaching.
• Strong knowledge of rules, strategies, and skill development in both sports.
• Good communication, motivation, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work with students of different age groups and skill levels.
• First-aid certification preferred.
• Positive attitude, patience, and a passion for teaching sports.

Experience Required:

• Minimum 2–5 years of teaching/coaching experience in school or sports academy settings.
• Experience in organizing sports events and training competitive teams in Cricket and Volleyball.

Work Environment:

• Indoor and outdoor sports facilities (fields, gymnasium, playgrounds).
• May involve evening/weekend matches or training sessions.

Remuneration:

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience, as per industry standards.
