Job Purpose

The Physical Education Teacher (PET) is responsible for planning and delivering a comprehensive physical education program that promotes physical fitness, teamwork, discipline, and overall student well-being in alignment with international curriculum standards and school values.

Key Responsibilities

Curriculum & Instruction

  • Plan and deliver age-appropriate Physical Education lessons aligned with international curricula (IB / IGCSE / Cambridge / American or equivalent).
  • Develop lesson plans that focus on physical fitness, motor skills, sportsmanship, and lifelong healthy habits.
  • Assess and evaluate students’ physical development and progress.

Sports & Activities

  • Train students in a variety of indoor and outdoor sports, games, and fitness activities.
  • Identify and nurture athletic talent for school teams and competitions.
  • Prepare students for inter-school, inter-house, and international sports events.

Health & Safety

  • Ensure student safety during all physical activities.
  • Conduct warm-ups, cool-downs, and injury-prevention routines.
  • Maintain and monitor sports equipment and facilities.

Student Development & Well-Being

  • Promote teamwork, leadership, discipline, and fair play.
  • Encourage participation from students of all abilities.
  • Support students’ physical and emotional well-being.

Collaboration & Communication

  • Work closely with class teachers, coordinators, and support staff.
  • Communicate student progress and sports schedules with parents when required.
  • Support school events, sports days, and extracurricular programs.

Administration & Reporting

  • Maintain attendance, assessment records, and activity reports.
  • Assist in planning the annual sports calendar.
  • Support compliance with school policies and accreditation requirements.

Qualifications & Experience

Educational Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education / Sports Science or related field
  • Teaching qualification (B.Ed / PGCE / equivalent) preferred

Experience

  • Experience teaching Physical Education in an international or reputed school is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with international curricula and assessment practices is preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹22,000.00 - ₹28,000.00 per month
