Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in physiotherapy practices, with a focus on patient care across diverse settings. As a vital member of the rehabilitation team, you will assist licensed physical therapists in implementing treatment plans, providing therapeutic interventions, and supporting patient recovery. Responsibilities

  • Assist licensed physical therapists in developing and executing individualized care plans tailored to each patient's needs.
  • Deliver therapeutic interventions including manual therapy techniques such as trigger point therapy, therapeutic exercises, and modalities to improve mobility and reduce pain.
  • Monitor patient progress and document responses to treatment accurately, ensuring compliance with clinical protocols.
  • Educate patients and their families on exercises, activity modifications, and injury prevention strategies to support ongoing recovery.
  • Participate in discharge planning by assessing patient progress and collaborating with the healthcare team to facilitate smooth transitions from inpatient or outpatient settings.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized treatment environment while adhering to all health and safety regulations.
  • Stay current with advances in physiotherapy techniques, physiology knowledge, and medical terminology relevant to patient care.

Qualifications

  • Valid licensure or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant or equivalent credential.
  • Prior experience working in inpatient facilities, skilled nursing facilities, home health environments, or outpatient clinics is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in physiotherapy techniques including trigger point therapy and orthopedic rehabilitation.
  • Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and care plan development.
  • Experience working with diverse populations such as geriatrics, pediatrics, or patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries or acute injuries.
  • Knowledge of discharge planning processes and familiarity with outpatient therapy protocols.
