We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our hospital’s rehabilitation team. This position involves working in both inpatient and outpatient settings, providing high-quality care to diverse patient populations under the supervision of licensed Physical Therapists. The PTA will assist in implementing individualized treatment plans to help patients improve mobility, relieve pain, and restore functional independence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out physical therapy treatment plans as directed by the supervising Physical Therapist (PT).
  • Work with patients in inpatient units (e.g., post-surgical, medical-surgical, ICU step-down) and outpatient rehab clinics.
  • Assist patients with mobility training, therapeutic exercises, gait training, and use of assistive devices.
  • Monitor and document patient responses, progress, and tolerance to treatments.
  • Communicate patient status and any changes in condition to the supervising PT.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory standards (e.g., Joint Commission, Medicare).

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
  • Current state licensure/certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA).
  • Experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply.
  • Strong communication, organization, and clinical reasoning skills.
