Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our team in Kansas City. As a PTA with Specialized Home Care, you will provide physical therapy services to patients under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist. Our team is committed to delivering top clinical outcomes and patient experience scores.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assist the physical therapist in following physical therapy care plans
  • Prepare clinical and progress notes and help develop the treatment plan (revising as necessary)
  • Perform therapy services in line with the care plan and physician orders
  • Consult with the physical therapist regarding changes in treatment
  • Instruct patients and caregivers on in-home programs and activities of daily living
  • Participate in interdisciplinary case conferences to contribute to patient updates, discharge planning, etc.
  • Advise and consult with agency personnel and patient family/caregivers
  • Confirm on a weekly basis the scheduling of visits with the supervising physical therapist, care team, office staff, etc.
