Physical Therapist / Per Diem

Job Summary:

Palms Care Center, a Skilled Nursing Facility located in Lauderdale Lakes, FL, is seeking a dedicated and caring Physical Therapist to join our team on a Per Diem basis. As a Physical Therapist with Palms Care Center, you will perform and document initial exams, identify and document patient goals, and develop individualized treatment plans to maintain, improve or restore physical functioning.

Responsibilities:

• Test and measure patients' strength, motor development, and function, sensory perception, functional capacity, and respiratory and circulatory efficiency
• Plan, prepare, and carry out individually designed programs of physical treatment
• Instruct patients and families in treatment procedures to continue at home
• Attend staff and facility meetings
• Participate in continuing education classes
  
  
  

Requirements:

• Possess a Physical Therapy degree and license in the state of Florida
• Be certified in CPR
• Be physically able to assist individuals
• Have some computer literacy
• Possess strong listening, speaking, critical thinking, and reading comprehension skills
• Be socially perceptive
• Have strong time-management skills
