Physical Therapy Aide

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated, compassionate and hard working Physical Therapy Aide to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will assist physical therapists in providing high-quality patient care in various settings, including outpatient environments. This role is essential in ensuring that patients receive the support they need during their rehabilitation journey, promoting recovery and enhancing their overall well-being.

Duties

• Assist physical therapists with patient intake and treatment procedures.
• Prepare treatment areas and equipment for therapy sessions.
• Help multiple patients with exercises and mobility tasks under the supervision of a licensed therapist.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation as required.
• Ensure cleanliness and organization of the therapy area, adhering to safety protocols.
• Communicate effectively with patients regarding their treatment plans and progress.
• Support the team in administrative tasks, including scheduling appointments and managing patient flow.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care tailored to individual patient needs.

Experience

• Previous experience in a healthcare setting, particularly in outpatient clinic is preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology is essential for effective communication and patient care.
• Experience working with diverse patient populations including geriatrics, orthopedics, and those requiring post-acute or sub-acute care is a plus.
• Eager to learn as a team player in providing excellent patient service.
• Ability to start up conversations with strangers and make them feel welcome.
