Job Position: Rehabilitation Technician in a SNF setting
Job Type: Full Time or Part Time positions available
Job Description:
We are looking for a capable and friendly rehab technician to support our physical therapists, occupational therapists and Speech Language Pathologists. In this role, your duties will include assisting with patient transport, assisting with treatments under supervision- including facilitation for therapy evaluations and treatments, and maintaining patient records. You may also be required to help keep the facility and equipment organized and clean.
To ensure success as a rehab technician, you should possess or have the ability to learn rehabilitation language and treatment activities. A rehab technician will be a team player and someone with exceptional interpersonal skills.
Job Responsibilities:
Basic computer skills and ability to provide optimal positioning for videoconferencing platforms to provide telehealth services with patients
Assisting patients to reach examination and treatment rooms.
Facilitating therapy initial assessments and basic diagnostic tests with the supervising therapist via videoconference.
Performing treatments under the direct supervision of licensed physical therapists, occupational therapists, and speech language pathologists.
Supporting physical therapists, occupational therapists, and speech-lang pathologists with complicated treatments, as well as assisting patients with physical activities.
Assisting with maintaining and updating patient records and scheduling patients.
Managing patient mobility within the facility as required for therapy sessions, as well as transportation to therapy appointments.
Sterilizing therapeutic equipment and ensuring that facilities are kept clean and tidy.
Safely disposing of hazardous waste and soiled materials.
Rehab Technician Requirements:
High school diploma or GED required.
Previous experience in health care encouraged to apply.
Proficiency in basic computer skills
Knowledge of physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech language pathology techniques, treatments, and equipment preferred.
Advanced ability to manage patient mobility and transportation needs.
Ability to maintain a clean, tidy, and safe environment in line with regulations.
Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills, as well as a caring nature.
Physically fit to assist immobile, injured, and frail patients.
